Medical Assisting- Expanding Medical Skills at our Urban Clinic in Honduras

A clinical intensive program designed for aspiring health students to build medical knowledge and deliver real impact through live telemedical consultations at our Urban clinic in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. 

Our virtual programs enable school groups to achieve the same learning outcomes as volunteering abroad, with even more community impact and significantly reduced costs, while limiting time away from school and negative environmental impact associated with travel.

The program incorporates video meetings facilitated by our professional facilitators, secure tele-medical platforms, and the support of the on-the-ground healthcare professionals. This innovative program incorporates live patient consultations, interviews with physicians, medical Spanish, and epidemiologic case studies.

Global Health Squads and its parent organization, renowned Goldstar-rated 501-c3 non-profit Global Brigades, bring decades of international healthcare experience and a network of partner communities to your club or class!

Squads are passionate groups of volunteers who mobilize abroad to create positive change. Each Squad type has a skill-based focus area that support the education, health and economic development objectives of community partners. Faculty choose their dates, duration (typically 1-2 weeks), and their site location from one of our six program countries.
