Hands-On International Medical Experience for Faculty and Students
Start a Medical Squads chapter today!
GLOBAL MEDICAL SQUADS
Alongside doctors and health professionals, students volunteer in rural clinics and gain hands-on medical experience while helping provide essential medical care in under resourced communities.
Bring International Experiential Service Learning Programs to Your Students through:
ONLINE HYBRID LEARNING
The Global Medical Squads online hybrid programs bring medical clinics and global health professionals directly into your classroom. These online programs create engaging experiential learning environments by leveraging telemedical tools and in-country medical teams to involve students in real live patient cases and healthcare work without the need for international travel.
INTERNATIONAL GROUP TRAVEL
In-country Global Medical Squads travel internationally to collaborate with our medical teams and partner communities abroad. Guided by our professional staff and led by a faculty member, groups of at least 12 students will provide essential medical services to under-resourced communities while also building their medical knowledge and getting hands-on clinical experience.
GLOBAL MEDICAL ACADEMY
Lead a smaller group (4 or more students + faculty) on the Global Medical Academy to Belize and Panama. On each 9-day medical trip, students will get hands-on experience in patient intake, triage, patient consultation (shadowing doctors), and supporting in the pharmacy while volunteering in rural clinics. These programs are offered every spring and summer.
