Lead a Trip Abroad

Squads Abroad is proud to be a leader in international travel and service programs for high school students around the world. Our work is possible only with the passionate leadership of high school faculty and administrators dedicated to providing their students with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

HOW TO ORGANIZE YOUR SQUAD ABROAD

Squads Abroad’s international staff supports faculty and administrators to organize a customized trip that fits your needs and interests. Our team will work with you to build an itinerary that includes service projects, cultural activities and enrichment opportunities that include learning outcomes and hands-on work for your students.

To support you to organize this trip, Squads Abroad offers the trip for free (airfare included) to 1 faculty member (for 8-14 students) or 2 faculty members (for 15 or more students). We also provide you with all presentation materials, fliers and online resources that you will need to offer this trip to your students.

With nearly 20 years of experience organizing student trips, we are well equipped to support you to get this trip approved by your administration. We can happily provide our insurance information, emergency procedures and any other information required.

To begin the process, we highly encourage you to schedule a short call with Erik Werner, the Founder and President of Squads Abroad. He can walk you through the options for your class and answer any questions you may have.

If you prefer, you can fill out a Squad Planner Form and we can send you program details, including the cost structure, personalized to your school.

Once you are in touch with our team, we will support you to identify the right Squad for you, recruit interested students, book your flights and prepare for the trip. In country, we will meet your team at the airport and take care of all travel logistics during your stay.

Faculty choose their dates, duration (typically 1-2 weeks), and their site location from one of our six program countries.
