Monarch High School Trip Report

Written by Erik Werner

On May 10, 2018

The Monarch High School Global Education Squad made an incredible impact in Lima, Peru. This Squad helped to renovate a community garden in Peru. They taught local children about how to plant and maintain the garden so that they could maintain it after the squad left. As a Global Education Squad the group partnered with an underserved school in Lima to improve educational outcomes. Each afternoon the group embarked on fun and engaging guided cultural and adventure activities around Lima. On the weekend the group took an overnight adventure excursion to Islas Ballestas and Huacachina Oasis.
