The Mentoring Academy traveled to Guatemala from March 18-28, 2018. As a Global Education Squad the group partnered with Panimacoc elementary school to improve educational outcomes. The group stayed at our private and safe home-base accommodations in Tecpan where our local professional staff provide all transportation, food, lodging, and activities. Each weekday morning completing valuable small construction projects and classroom support. Each afternoon the group embarked on fun and engaging guided cultural and adventure activities around Tecpan. On the weekend the group went on an excursion to Lake Atitlan to take a boat tour around the lake to explore the small Maya communities and enjoy artisan workshops and markets. The group also explored the World Heritage site of Antigua. |
